S1319: The Great Oxygenation Event in Splash Fall 2024 (Nov. 16, 2024)

Have you ever wondered where atmospheric oxygen comes from? This is an introductory course to a concept in Earth and Planetary Science of the mechanisms for how Earth attained its oxygen. We will be walking forward through time to discuss the proposed processes, looking at the geological evidence and discussing the reasoning for why it is evidence.
