Message From Student Committee This semester, Splash at Berkeley will be hosting its 17th Splash program where high school students are invited to UC Berkeley's campus to take courses taught by UC Berkeley students on virtually anything. In past programs, exciting classes ranged from Introduction to Improv Comedy to Elementary Particle Physics, from Kafka and Monty Python to Graph Theory. Splash at Berkeley is organized and run by student volunteers. Over the course of the day, you will get to be exposed to and learn about subjects you are passionate about or might never have known existed. You can participate in an oil painting workshop, or learn about the mysteries of the universe! Program Essentials Who: 9th-12th graders When: Sunday, April 21, 2024 What: Take whatever classes interest you, taught by Berkeley students! See catalogs from our most recent past programs from Spring 2021, Fall 2021, and Spring 2022, and Fall 2023. How: Student Registration can be found here. Where: TBD What you need: $30: program cost. $7 (optional): we serve pizza for lunch, vegan/gluten free options available upon request Logistics Program Registration: Anyone interested in Splash at Berkeley (parents, teachers, community activists, potential students, etc.) can always create an account for our website. Just click here. By making an account, you will receive emails from us regarding our programs. Registration for specific programs will be opened a few weeks before the program date. Lunch: We are serving pizza (vegan and non-vegan) which can be ordered during student registration. Lunch Cost: $7 (optional) Parent Program: TBD please check the parent program tab to the left. Student Code of Conduct By registering for classes with Splash at Berkeley, you agree to the following codes of conduct: Fellow classmates and class teachers must be treated with respect. Be welcoming of fellow students and teachers from all backgrounds, beliefs, identities, and locations. Personal information beyond first names must remain private. This includes email address, mailing address, phone number, social media handles, etc. Do not share your own or ask others for personal information. Students who participate and therefore agree to this code of conduct acknowledge that we have a zero-tolerance policy. If these guidelines are not followed, students will be removed from classes by a teacher or moderator. Students must ensure that their parents are aware of their participation and that they have reviewed the details of our program and the Codes of Conduct.
