Brief Biographical Sketch:

Welcome to the wonderful world of geography! My name is Maria Antonia Scopu, and I am a senior at UC Berkeley completing a bachelors degree and honors thesis in geography, with a minor in public policy.

I'll let you in on a secret: I dropped out of high school during my junior year. Although it took a few years, I later returned to school and transferred to UC Berkeley from Pasadena City College with two degrees in natural sciences and humanities, where I also received the department award for superior achievement in the geography.

My main interests include how industry, economics, and policy impact the urban landscape and its residents, which is also the basis of my thesis research here at Berkeley!
